DISRUPTION
My latest work is a reflection of the turbulence which has increased globally since the days of the recent pandemic. We witness the evidence of climate change and environmental degradation, along with social, political, and environmental stresses that feed our inaction as we drift above the waters of denial.
I combine my photographs with elements of sky, earth, and water from the shorelines of Florida. Working with natural and augmented colors, images of dirty water, fish kills, tv’s and flowers, I find a terrible beauty in these moments. Placed in two series, UNDERTOW and CLIMATE DRIFT, my composite images express hardened lines and inner turmoil that so many of us feel in our uncertainty about life in the present day.
